Paper Pumpkin Sept. 2024 Alternate card #1 |
![]() |
A utumn Abundance, the Sept. 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit is stunning. This is an alternate card you can make with pieces from the kit.
From your Paper Pumpkin kit you need:
Smallest white label
die cut leaf
Small card base - cut 4 ¼ from the end of the card that does not have the circle opening. You now have a piece 4 X 4 ¼.
Small envelope - cut off the decorative envelope flap. From the flat end of this cut off piece cut a ¾ X 4 piece.
Card Base: Cut 8 ½ X 11 paper in half lengthwise. You now have two pieces 4 ¼ X 11. Score at 5 ½ & 4 ½. Fold on score lines.
Card Mat: Cut Wild Wheat 4 ⅛ X 4 ⅜ and another Wild Wheat ⅞ X 4 ⅛.
Card Front: Attach the print cut from the envelope flap to the smaller Wild Wheat mat. Attach this piece to the 1” area between score lines on the card front. Cut two pieces of Copper Clay Natural Tones Linen Thread 12” & 8”. Wrap the 12” piece around this portion of the card front, knotting near the top of the print/map attached to the 1” section of the card front. Knot the 8” piece of linen thread just above the first knot and tie a bow. Attach tear & tape on the back of the 1” piece to attach this piece to the card base back.
Attach the print cut from the small card piece to the larger Wild Wheat mat. Attach both pieces to the right side of the card front.
Stamp sentiment from the Sept. 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit with Cajun Craze ink on the smallest white label included in the kit. Attach the stamped label to the card front with dimensionals.
Add 3 embellishments from 2023-2025 In-Color Opaque Sparkling Dots to the card front.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 X 4 ¼. Stamp a sentiment with Cajun Craze, I used a sentiment from the August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. Use daubers with Wild Wheat and Cajun Craze ink to color the leaves before stamping them on the card insert before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope:
Add the small portion of envelope flap from the kit to the envelope flap. Stamp leaf to envelope, using daubers to color the leaf.
