Them Bones Rocking Card & Treat Box |
|
T hem Bones is a great suite of products for Halloween projects. I have shared this card design before made with the adorable Beary Christmas suite. I made a matching treat box to go with the card.
Card Base: Use the 2nd Largest circle die in the Deckle Circle Dies to cut a card base of Basic Black. Fold this card base in half.
Card Mat: Use the 3rd Largest circle die in the Deckle Circle Dies to cut a mat from the plaid print paper in the Them Bones paper pack. Cut this circle in half, attach this half circle to the Basic Black card front.
Card Front: Use the circle die from Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a Basic White circle that measures 2 ⅝. Use the 2 ⅜ circle punch to punch a circle from the skeleton print paper in the Them Bones paper pack. Attach the punched skeleton circle to the white die cut circle. Add 2 Glow in the Dark bats to the punched skeleton circle.
Attach the two circles in the center of the card front, making sure the circle is not taller than your envelope. I used a 4” wide paper to help me line it up.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, Use the 3rd Largest circle die in the Deckle Circle Dies to cut a circle from Basic White. Cut this circle in half, attach this half circle to the inside of the Basic Black card front. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
Treat Bag: Use the bag die in the Tricks & Treats die set to cut two bag pieces. The paper I was using was a plaid and I wanted to have the lines of the plaid match on each side of the bag. I cut two pieces making sure that the plaid lines were in the same place on the paper. I cut out both bags at the same time so the lines were in the same place on the bag.
Fold the bag pieces on the score lines. Attach Tear & Tape to the narrow sides of the bag. Remove tape backing and put bag together on the sides. Use Tear & Tape to close the bottom of the bag.
To add ribbon to the bag. Punch small hole on each side of the bag. Insert ribbon from outside of bag to inside and knot the ribbon. Do the same with the other end of the ribbon on the other side of the bag.
