Day At The Farm Chicks Birthday Card |
|
I made this birthday card for a friend who has chickens. I love the papers in Day At The Farm paper pack.
Card Base: Cut Daffodil Delight 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic Black paper 4 X 5 ¼.
Card Front: Cut Daffodil Delight stripe paper from Day At The Farm 1 ¾ X 3 ⅞. Cut chick paper from Day At The Farm 3 ⅜ X 3 ⅞.
Attach the yellow stripe to the top of the Basic Black card mat leaving a narrow border on the top and sides of the yellow stripe paper. Attach chick paper to black mat just below the yellow stripe. Cut 6’ of black & white gingham ribbon, attach Tear & Tape to the back of the ribbon. Attach ribbon to card front where the two print papers meet, wrap ribbon to back of black mat. Attach mat & card front pieces to the card base.
Die cut the smallest label in the Seasonal Label Dies from Basic White. Stamp sentiment from Share A Milkshake stamp set in black ink. Attach over ribbon with Tear & Tape. Add 2 of the smallest black dots from Classic Matte Dots.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4 (5 ¼). Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from Best Family Ever in black ink before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
