Storybook Gnomes Mountain Christmas Card |
|
S torybook Gnomes has some great papers for winter cards. For this card I cut around the mountains to add some interest.
Card Base: Cut Night of Navy 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼. Emboss the top portion of the card mat with the Wintry 3D embossing folder.
Card Front: Cut the mountain print paper from Storybook Gnomes paper pack 4 X 5 ¼, There are two rows of mountains on the paper pack. To get 6 card fronts from one sheet of print paper; measure 5 ¼ from top to cut one row of paper with mountains. Measure 5 ¼ from the bottom of the sheet of print paper. From each row you can cut 3 pieces 4” wide. Cut along the mountain to remove the top half of the paper. Save ½ X 4 inch piece from the cut off piece for inside your card.
Attach the card front with Stampin Dimensionals to the embossed card mat so that the embossed portion of the card mat shows behind the cut out mountains. Attach the card front to the card base. I used Wink of Stella on the card front to add glimmer to the snow.
Use the Stylish Shapes Die set to cut the smaller narrow banner from Kraft paper. Stamp Merry Christmas from Peaceful Deer stamp set with Night of Navy ink on banner. Attach the stamped banner to the lower portion of the card.
For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp sentiment from Peaceful Deer stamp set with Night of Navy ink. Attach the strip of paper you saved from the card front to the top of the stamped white card insert.
