Texture Chic Hollyhocks card |
![]() |
T his card shows what you can create when you bring together Hollyhocks Layering Die, Texture Chic paper, and the Timeworn Type embossing folder. A beautiful card that could be used for so many occasions. I am going to use it for an anniversary card.
Card Base:
Cut Petal Pink 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat:
Cut Very Vanilla paper 4 X 5 ¼.
Card Front:
Cut Texture Chic paper 1 X 5 ¼. Attach this to the far left of the Very Vanilla card mat.
Cut Texture Chic paper 3 X 5 ½, attach an adhesive sheet to the back of this paper. Die cut this piece with the smaller (thinner) of the two Hollyhock dies in the Layering Hollyhock Die set.
Cut Petal Pink 3 X 51/2, attach an adhesive sheet to the back of this paper. Die cut this piece with the larger (wider) of the two Hollyhock dies in the Layering Hollyhock Die set.
Remove adhesive sheet from back of the Texture Chic Hollyhock die cut piece. Attach this piece to the Petal Pink Hollyhock, the outside edges will line up.
Remove adhesive sheet from the back of the Petal Pink Hollyhock die cut piece. Attach the Hollyhock to the Very Vanilla card mat to the right of the piece of the Texture Chic already on the Very Vanilla card mat.
Emboss this Very Vanilla card mat with the Timeworn Type embossing folder. Attach the embossed card front to the Petal Pink card base.
Add 3 Champagne Rhinestones to the card front.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
