High Tide with Painters Tape tutorial

Painter tape technique high tide

This card front was created using the painter's tape technique.

Cut papers:
black card base - 4 1/4 X 11 (fold in half lengthwise)
dapper denim mat - 4 X 5 1/4
marina mist mat - 3 3/4 X 5
whisper white card front - 3 1/2 X 4 3/4
card inside - whisper white 4 X 5 1/4

with black ink stamp lighthouse and grasses on card front

Painter tape technique 1

Painter's tape technique:

step 1 - tear piece of tape longer than width of card, put tape on ink pad and push down with your finger to ink tape.

I started with Night of Navy ink for bottom stripe

Painter's tape technique:

step 2 - place tape on card front and push down with finger to transfer ink to card front

Painter tape technique 3

Continue with this technique to add a dapper denim stripe and a marina mist stripe

Assemble card front:

adhere dapper denim mat to card base
adhere marina mist to dapper denim mat
adhere stamped card front to dapper denim mat

Stamp sentiment with dapper denim ink to white paper scrap

cut with stitched shape thinlit

adhere to card front with dimensional

stamp sentiment of your choice on white piece for card inside

attach to inside of card
