Happy Forest Friends baby card

I helped throw a baby shower for someone very special to us. I designed this as a baby shower invite. Just add a sentiment inside instead and you have an adorable baby card. Read to the end of the instructions to see how I used the paper to make a sign for the shower.

Card Base: Cut Old Olive 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut So Saffron paper 4 X 5 ¼.

Card Front: Cut print paper from Happy Forest Friends paper pack 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛. Attach card front to So Saffron card mat. Emboss the card mat/card front with the Gingham embossing folder.

Use the tag die in the Happy Forest Dies to cut a tag from Basic White. Stamp sentiment from Happier Than Happy stamp sentiment with Old Olive ink. Cut 4” of Old Olive ribbon and 8” of Linen Thread. Insert Old Olive ribbon through hole at end of tag. Fold linen thread in half and tie a knot over Old Olive ribbon keeping the ribbon in the tag. Trim ribbon and linen thread. Attach tag to card front with dimensionals.

Card Insert: For any invitation I print the insert with needed information and cut to insert size (4 X 5 ¼)

Envelope: Stamp fox from Happier than Happy stamp set with Cajun Craze ink in the lower left hand corner of the envelope

Sign: Cut print paper from Happy Forest Friends paper pack 8 ½ X 11. Print sign. I fussy cut images from paper in the Happy Forest Friends paper pack and attached them to the sign.
