By the Bay Sympathy card
I used the beautiful By The Bay papers to make this sympathy card. The card design would work for a variety of cards.
Card Base: Cut Crumb Cake 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Balmy Blue paper 4 X 5 ¼.
Card Front: Cut By the Bay 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛. Stamp 3 small sandpipers from Seaside Bay stamp set with Night of Navy ink in the lower right hand corner of the card front. Attach the stamped card front to the Balmy Blue card mat.
Emboss the card mat/card front with the Into The Clouds embossing folder.
Use the sandpiper die from Seaside Bay Dies to cut a sandpiper from the By The Bay paper. Attach the die cut sandpiper to the card front with dimensionals.
Use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a narrow banner from Crumb Cake paper and a short wide banner from basic white. Stamp sentiment from Seaside Bay stamp set with Night of Navy ink on the white banner. Attach the stamped white banner to the narrow kraft banner. Attach banners to the card front with dimensionals.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 3 ¾. Banner cut the end, attach this piece to the left side of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from Go To Greetings with Night of Navy ink before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
