Butterfly in Balmy Blue

Balmy blue butterfly

The butterfly from the Sale-A-Bration pack seemed like such a perfect match with this lattice paper in the Delightfully Detailed paper pack. I choose to make it a Sympathy card, but the design could be used for many different occasions.

Card Base: Cut Balmy Blue 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.

Card Mat: Cut Balmy Blue paper 4 X 5 1/4

Use a Rectangle Stitched Framelit ( I used the one that measure 2 3/4 X 4 1/8 on the outside), to cut an opening in the Card Mat.

Stamp your sentiment with Balmy Blue ink on scrap of Very Vanilla. Punch out sentiment with Classic Label Punch.

The Delightfully Detailed laser cut paper has two designs. I choose one of the piece from the page with the 6 rectangles. You could use any of the rectangles or you could cut a piece of the 12 X 12 paper that has an overall floral design.

Adhere Delightfully Detailed paper to back of card mat behind rectangular cut out. Adhere this card mat (Balmy Blue frame, Delightfully Detailed paper) background to card front.

Die cut butterfly from Botanical Butterfly paper and attach butterfly on card front. Stamp sentiment with balmy blue ink on Very Vanilla paper, punch out sentiment. Adhere punched out sentiment to card front.

Congratulations you have finished your pretty card.
